01 — About us

Not lobbyists.
Builders & bridge-makers.

The EU Crypto Association (EUCA) is the largest pan-European Web3 non-profit, headquartered at Rue de la Loi, Brussels — 200 meters from the European Commission. Founded in 2019 by exchanges, custodians, law firms and universities, we exist for one reason: make Europe the best jurisdiction in the world to launch compliant crypto products.

  • ✓We translate law into product. MiCA is 200+ pages. We turn it into checklists, APIs, reporting templates and licence playbooks in 12 languages.
  • ✓We bring industry to the table. Monthly roundtables with ESMA, EBA, ECB and national regulators — no shouting, just working solutions.
  • ✓We defend users. Proof-of-reserves standard, anti-scam charter, education for 140k Europeans per year.

Yes. MiCA is fully applicable since 30 Dec 2024. Most transitional regimes end mid-2026. Operating without CASP authorisation after that risks enforcement and delisting from compliant venues.
Yes — that is the MiCA passport. Once authorised in one member state, you notify via your home regulator and can serve all 30 EEA countries without new licences.
Fully decentralised protocols without an intermediary are out of scope for now, but the Commission will review by 2027. Fractional NFTs and large collections can fall under MiCA — EUCA helps assess.
Average 4–6 months with our kit vs 9–12 alone. We pre-check capital, governance, outsourcing, white paper and IT security before you file.
Daily. We hold MoUs for dialogue with academic and supervisory stakeholders, co-host technical workshops and respond to every ESMA/EBA consultation.
